Through this work I tried to mix my technical knowledge with a conceptual focus. I tried to keep the photographs very simple through lighting and framing, as if they were used for simple product displays on a website. I used simple studio setups as well as reflectors in order to create as little shadow as possible, which is quite different from my usual ways of lighting. I went for a mixture of colors as well as black backgrounds and white backgrounds in order to add variety to the series since my lighting was so simple. My focus was to use two symbols of what we take for granted juxtaposed with how we would have to function with out it. I wanted to also add a comical tone to the photographs, so I tried to focus the image around the relationship between the two images.
